A Day Without An Immigrant: Boston Actions

"On May 1, 2006, 120 years after immigrant workers struggled together for the 8-hour workday in the US, there will be a national general boycott and strike for comprehensive immigration reform that puts human rights first.

May 1 will be a day without an immigrant or an immigrant ally to highlight the critical importance of immigrant contributions to our economy and to our society. Thousands [millions?] across the country will decide not to go to work or school and to close their business for the day and instead take part in local actions calling for immigrant justice."
