Border Partol's Decision to Concentrate on Urban Areas Detrimental to Wildlife
The decision to concentrate heavily on urban human/narco trafficking has lead to illegal trafficking moving out into rural areas. Heavy traffic from both the Border Patrol and illegal immigrants has caused much damage to soils and plant life, as well as disturbed animals. More from National Geographic (via Utne) and the L.A.
