Fresh air, no Harvard Sq.: Allston farm eyed

"A Green Acres in Allston would be the place to be for Harvard students and faculty members who want to create their very own sustainable farm within city limits."

A sustainable farm sounds intriguing, but I am even more interesting, a sustainable building. Farms as far as I am aware are for the most part open land and moderately sustainable as is. Unless there are intended rotational crop fields and mitigated fences a farm is a farm. Maybe a model for the future architecture of mans immediate correlation with the planet. Something that gives as much energy as it expends would be nice.

Intriguingly, Community Supported Agriculture is intricately linked to sustainable architectural building.

Surely, the intricacies will vary between rural and urban communities, yet the need for further public awareness re: food production and community building remains urgent.

If interested, check out Univ. of Pitt-Bradford's Environmental Studies Major's learning partnership with Allegany, New York's Community Supported Agriculture: Canticle Farm.
