Interested in creating habitat for wildlife in urban environments? Please join the Urban Resources Initiative and community members from around New Haven for a workshop with Peter Picone, Wildlife Biologist with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.
Peter Picone has been providing community education for more than two decades, and is well known in Connecticut as an expert on the use of native plants and the enhancement of urban landscapes to support wildlife populations. Picone was a recipient of the Connecticut Award for 2006 from the New England Wildflower Society for “his dedicated leadership in promoting landscaping with native plants through his lectures, publications and habitat demonstrations…”
