A great primer to Urban Forest Canopy decline in the U.S. and what some cities are doing about it. Includes excellent references to the State of Iowa, whose utilities have done much to promote urban forestry and tree care in order to reduce energy costs. They've been at it for several years now. So they should have a lot to teach other cities and states about what they have accomplished.
