The latest episode of NPR's "Living on Earth" follows the Los Angeles River. What? You didn't know Los Angeles had a river?
The show is headquartered in Somerville, but frustratingly difficult to listen to on terrestrial radio in Boston, unless you're an early riser on weekends. Their extensive online archives, however, offer a wealth of valuable stories, urban ecology and otherwise.
