The Other War on Science
Not urban ecology, but important/interesting. An obscure law called the Data Quality Act is being used by Industry to keep information from the Public. In this case, the Salt Institute is attempting to quash a study claiming that lowering salt intake can lower blood pressure, even in those without hypertension. A brief aside at the end of the article mentions how activists can use the law, too, though. (Via 3 Quarks)
