Another downside to ethanol
The production of ethanol requires lots of water. One proposed plant in Illinois requires 2 million gallons a day. Water wars are already happening, even in supposed water-resource rich regions like the Great Lakes and the Northeast. It is no longer just a concern of the Southwest.
