Writing on the Landscape Workshop

Tap into the power of place and the energy of writing in community. Bring your curiosity, sense of adventure, chair or blanket, snack, and pen and notebook. Treat yourself to this opportunity to experience a familiar place like Jamaica Pond as if for the first time. Take new joy in it; observe, make contact, take the landscape into you, then let it pour from your pen. This workshop is part of an occasional series of programs offered with the National Park Service/Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, looking at local Olmsted-designed landscapes from the perspectives of different arts and humanities.

Sunday, June 11 from 10am-1pm at Jamaica Pond

All are encouraged to register, but high school juniors and seniors are also encouraged to attend. See the Brookline Adult Education link for more details, or call Maria Aucoin at the Urban Ecology Institute at 617-552-2477.
