What are you buying when you buy organic?

This makes my head hurt. Something to think about next time you're in the grocery store:

"“Organic,” then, isn’t necessarily “local,” and neither “organic” nor “local” is necessarily “sustainable.”"

Also, different views on ethanol, using a similar critical approach. There was another, more recent article on this, but I can't remember where I saw it.
