Wake Up the Earth Festival this Saturday in JP

For those of you in Boston/Jamaica Plain and its environs:

"The 28th Annual Wake Up The Earth Festival will take place on Saturday, May 6th (raindate Saturday, May 13th) at The Southwest Corridor park adjacent to The Stonybrook T Stop.

Parade: 11:00am from Curtis Hall
Festival 12:00-5:00pm on the Southwest Corridor

The Wake Up the Earth Festival began in 1979 when a group of local neighbors and activist banded together to stop the I-95 expansion into Jamaica Plain. The festival began as, and still is, a celebration of what can be accomplished when people of all traditions, cultures, ages, and beliefs come together. A great many individuals, local artists, community groups, and schools join forces every year to make a unique community collaboration."
