Grand Rapids, MI, Urban Eco project

"PLANT! is an exploration of 'place' consisting of seven neighborhood-centric sites chosen and maintained by Calvin College students. This project tracks their progress as the sites are transformed from unused space into urban gardens."

Seems like a very interesting project. I haven't had a chance to explore each site, but I can only hope that they are working collaboratively with neighborhood residents on these projects, and that the sites will be turned over to community members and continue to be used as positive spaces when they are done.
