California: Power lines and pipelines through public lands

Federal legislators versus state and federal agencies over running public utility lines through national parks. Not surpirsingly, legislators in favor of the projects want to speed up the approval process and avoid regulation, while environmentalists are against it and agencies want to make sure that this is done thoughtfully and carefully if it indeed can be done safely and efficiently.
