Duh: Homeland Security screwed up with Katrina management

In case anyone still didn't know, the House went through the formality of an investigation into the Department of Homeland Security's preparation leading up to and response to Hurricane Katrina. Of course, no mention as to what Condaleeza Rice and the President were doing on vacation/ political fundraising instead of at their posts...

"And next time, God forbid, it could be a terrorist attack, and there's not going to be a warning from the weather service." -- Sen. Joe Lieberman, CT

"If 9/11 was a failure of imagination, then Katrina was a failure of initiative." --House Katrina Report

Is it really any surprise? I mean, a certain somebody, whose name I will not mention, kept reading a book to school children for nearly 15 more minutes when the first plane hit the World Trade Center.
