Tried to get into the Great Debate at Boston University over the question "Should public schools teach intelligent design along with evolution?" but was turned away along with over a hundred other people. I was told to go back home and watch it on the web. Isn't that why I left home? So that I wouldn't have to watch it on a computer?
BU guards said that I should be able to watch it on the computers above the auditorium, but the machines don't allow Real Audio or anyone to download anything. So even if they had RealAudio, I would not have been able to download the necessary -.rm file to watch it there. There was supposedly a place down the street where people could listen to the audio, but that did not turn out to be correct either.
This event was highly anticipated amonst evolutionists and IDiots alike on the web. Do you think that next time they have such a great debate they could find a larger venue and maybe set up some TVs somewhere so that people could watch outside or at some lounge on campus? To come all the way out to BU and then be told to go home to watch seems rather rediculous. Some people even drove from more than an hour away to see it.
So far, I haven't heard from anyone on how the debate went. If anyone has any information, please post in the comments section.
